The Fault in our stars- Book review

So how do I start? This is technically my first blog post and its about my favorite book The Fault In Our Stars by John Green! Now I can list a whole bunch of reasons this is my favorite book or I can go right ahead and tell you about the book.

It all starts of with a girl named Hazel who has cancer( her lungs also don't work so great),is 16 years old and she goes to a support group which she doesn't like but goes to it anyway just for her mom. She has a friend in support group named Isaac. One day a new guy, named Augustus, comes to support group and eventually both Hazel and Augustus catch eye contact since Augustus had been staring at her the whole time. Soon enough they both are flirtatious friends and they talk about everything together. Hazel shares her favorite  book with Gus(short for Augustus) named An Imperial Affliction and they both obsess about the unsolved ending. Gus somehow gets to email the author and the author, Peter Van Houten, invite's them to come visit in Amsterdam to talk about the ending of the book. Now don't forget about Isaac because he isn't having the greatest life right now.
Isaac is losing his eye(the only one left) so that he can be cancer-free at long last. He also lost his girlfriend Monica since she didn't want to have a blind boyfriend. Rude! Gus surprises Hazel with telling her that he still has his with(the one they give to dying children)  from when he had cancer and lost his leg. He tells her that he wants to take her to Amsterdam to meet Peter Van Houten. That's what I call love. Hazel is beyond happy but is worried how to convince her parents and doctors who are worried about her lots.

Hazel ends up convincing everybody that everything will all be fine and her mom, Gus and Hazel set off to meet Peter Van Houten in Amsterdam. The night they reach Hazel and Gus have a romantic dinner and a restaurant paid by the author. That night Gus tells Hazel how much he loves her. The day that they go to meet the author, it ends up not as planned. First of, the author was drunk and mean. Secondly it ended up that well, Van Houten did not answer any of Hazels questions. Hazel ended up being mad and very upset. When they get back to the hotel room Gus spills that he has cancer again.

Now I don't want to tell you the end since it will spoil this amazing, sad and funny book. But let me tell you, if you read the book(YOU HAVE TO) then you have to keep a box of tissues will you because I guarantee that you will cry! But let me tell you that you will fall in love with Hazel and Gus's relationship. It is the most romantic and cutest relationship ever.

This book is more than just a book but is a story of 2 people who fall in love and its their story.

ENJOY!!!!
